The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator provides line management with continuous advice and support to ensure that HSE remains an integral part of SLB business and equal in priority to production and profitability. Reporting to the Canada HSE Manager the HSE Coordinator is a role model in the application of all HSE policies and standards to SLB team members. Roles and Responsibilities - Develop Managers' awareness and ensure HSE is an integral part of Line Management responsibilities and objectives.
- Develop a competent and motivated Location/Country/Sub-GeoMarket HSE organization.
- Assist in the planning and Implementation on accident reduction year on year towards the goal of Zero accidents.
- Establish, maintain, implement, and improve the Health, Safety, Environment and Business Line specific risk.
- Participate in defining Canada HSE objectives.
- Liaise with local clients, contractors, and agencies regarding HSE.
- Regular Assessment of location risks.
- Prepare, generate, and implement HSE plans required to ensure optimum risk minimization and compliance to HSE policies, standards, and procedures.
- Define, monitor, and maintain HSE metrics and records.
- Monitoring the perception of SLB services among clients.
- Conduct management review meetings to assess the effectiveness of the HSE Management System and identify required improvements.
- Support supply chain team with HSE related contractor matters (catering, transport, etc.).
- Ensures all location and Business Line specific HSE risks are identified, assessed and that appropriate risk management plans are implemented.
- Ensure adequate HSE training is provided to all personnel, including contractors, to meet all HSE requirements for minimum job related and process specific training.
- Ensure all accidents and non-conformance incidents are properly notified, investigated, reviewed, and followed up on as per SLB HSE Standard 2, and participate in investigations of major failures and accidents, then communicate corrective action(s) required.
- Advise management on the compliance of the local HSE programs with all local and national applicable regulations in the Location/Country/Sub-GeoMarket.
- Develop and maintain a high level of awareness and active personal involvement among all personnel through prevention and reporting of non-conformances.
- Lead audit program and verify compliance with SLB and Business Line standards using appropriate checklists.
- Develop HSE partnerships with clients, suppliers/contractors and promote Schlumberger HSE leadership within the industry.
- Keep abreast of any new documentation and training material related to HSE and informs management accordingly.
- Ensure regular updating of personal certifications and attend to personal training as required.
- Coach and guide HSE training and competency progress of your direct report.
Qualifications and Experience - Degree or Diploma in Health and Safety.
- Preferred class one operator's license.
- Experience delivering driver and HSE training.
- Minimum 5 years HSE field experience.
- Canadian Registered Safey Professional (CRSP) certification.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, creativity, planning and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
