Responsibilities The IEP Evaluator, Flight Ops & OCC plays a significant role in ensuring the ongoing compliance, quality and efficiency of Spirit’s operations and is responsible for the successful completion and documentation of evaluations and/or tasks assigned by the Manager, IEP. This position identifies non-conformities, hazards, and opportunities for improvement within Spirit’s operational divisions, and critical systems using multiple techniques and performs comprehensive root cause analysis of the resulting deficiencies during scheduled, unscheduled, and ad hoc evaluations. The IEP Evaluator identifies these deficiencies within Spirit Airlines’ operation while balancing multiple competing priorities. Comprehensive knowledge and previous experience in airline operations and regulatory compliance is necessary. Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and critical thinking are key skill sets required to be successful. Some domestic and international travel is required. Monitors the effectiveness of the Flight Operations and OCC Operational Division Quality Assurance programs through observations of Audits and Auditors as well as scheduled and unscheduled IEP Audits and IEP Evaluations. Identifies and monitors critical systems used within the Flight Operations and OCC Divisions. Ensures that all evaluations are conducted with strict confidentiality, professionalism, and objectivity, while adhering to all company and regulatory policies and procedures. Ensures prompt and effective communication with management regarding operational, regulatory, and safety concerns. Maintains thorough knowledge of Spirit Airlines Operations manuals. Maintains thorough knowledge of Transport Category US Airline (14 CFR 121) Operations. Provide support in ensuring ongoing compliance with IOSA ISARPS. Develops and maintains positive and professional working relationships with Operational Divisions and external customers on behalf of Spirit Airlines. Conducts internal evaluations through review of regulations, regulatory guidance, and published Spirit policies, procedures, and controls. Utilizes documents, manages, and tracks the formal Corrective Action Process through acceptance and final closure. Works with divisional and external customers to promote compliance, safety, and continuous improvement. Maintain thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and their interpretations as they pertain to Spirit’s operations. Performs all additional tasks as assigned by the Manager, IEP. Adheres to the published IEP Evaluation schedule. Analyzes non-conformities and hazards to determine trends and identify solutions for recurring/systemic issues. Prepares IEP Evaluation briefings and reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 1-3 years’ experience in 14 CFR 121 Flight Operations, Operational Control (Dispatch), Safety, Internal Evaluation or Quality Assurance Auditing. Experience with auditing for IOSA (Preferred). FAA ATPL or Dispatch Certificate (Preferred). Previous IEP Evaluator Experience (Preferred). IOSA/ISAGO/CQA Auditor Certification (Preferred). Ability to handle numerous projects at one time and meet deadlines. Knowledge and experience with regulatory guidance. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including familiarity with using Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication. Strong technical writing skills. Excellent problem-solving skills. Works well under pressure with little supervision. Exemplifies Spirit's safety culture, values, and mission. Works well with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization. Ability to work autonomously, highly self-driven. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment, and a positive attitude toward teamwork. Domestic & International travel up to 50% of time. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally to move objects. Hybrid.
