Dean serves as the Chief Academic Officer of the College and is responsible for educational policy, academic programs, establishing academic standards for each specialty area, and oversight of evaluation. Ensures that accreditation standards are in a state of perpetual readiness through planning, devising systems and processes for delegation, and maintaining documentation/data bases and other necessary support items Accountable for achievement of College goals and objectives within the scope of Academic Affairs. Responsibilities Identifies faculty skills and abilities required for successful program/curricular administration and recruits qualified faculty to ensure academic and regulatory standards are met or exceeded. Ensure that curricula are relevant and meet regulatory and academic standards. Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Collaborates with administration to ensure faculty development and accreditation standards are met or exceeded through continuous improvement models. Provides direct oversight on the college’s accrediting bodies by ensuring that all evaluations and assessment data points for Graduate and Undergraduate programs are collected and analyzed with outcomes. Supports the school’s assessment plan and evaluates faculty and academic work related to student outcomes. Provides direct oversight of in the preparation of program budgets in accordance with approved financial practices.
