Technical Director - eCom As the Ecommerce Technical Director, you will oversee the operations of Pratt.com’s online platform, working closely with developers, marketing, and content teams to ensure seamless site functionality, third-party integrations, and performance optimization. A key aspect of your role will be driving the continued development and enhancement of Pratt.com’s features, functions, and product catalog, ensuring the platform evolves to meet business needs and customer expectations. You will also manage integrations with customer platforms, including marketplaces and B2B portals, to facilitate smooth product sales, order processing, and data synchronization for an exceptional user experience. Additionally, you will lead the execution and optimization of paid advertising, content strategies, and SEO initiatives, ensuring alignment with Pratt.com’s ecommerce goals. Duties Team Leadership & Development: Manage a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and ecommerce specialists to ensure seamless day-to-day operations of the Pratt.com website. Provide guidance and mentorship to the team on best practices for web development, design, and troubleshooting. Oversee the sprint planning, task prioritization, and delivery of project milestones. Ecommerce Site Management: Lead the ongoing development, maintenance, and optimization of the Pratt.com ecommerce platform, ensuring a seamless, high-performing, and user-friendly experience. Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure the site is optimized for mobile and desktop, ensuring a consistent brand experience across all devices. Oversee the implementation and testing of site enhancements, new features, and product launches. 3rd Party Integrations & Platform Management: Oversee and implement integrations with third-party vendors, customer platforms, such as marketplaces, B2B portals, and other sales channels, to ensure seamless product listings and order management. Ensure that products are correctly synced across multiple platforms, maintaining consistent pricing, inventory levels, and product information. Troubleshoot integration issues and coordinate with external vendors for timely resolution. Ensure the smooth operation of automated processes and data flow between systems, including customer platforms for order fulfillment, payments, and customer service. Search Engine Optimization, Paid Advertising & Content Strategy Support: Provide support for the execution of paid digital advertising campaigns, ensuring seamless integration with Pratt.com’s ecommerce platform and data structure. Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate tracking tools for accurate performance tracking, conversion measurement, and campaign optimization. Analyze advertising data and offer technical recommendations to enhance campaign performance, including optimizing tracking parameters, site conversion paths, and overall user flow. Manage the content and marketing teams to implement solutions that support content strategies, driving organic traffic and engagement. Ensure product content and site structure are optimized for SEO, including schema markup, URL structure, and page speed improvements. Provide guidance on content updates, product launches, and promotions to ensure they are fully optimized for search engines and deliver an optimal user experience. Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor the performance of the website, including site speed, security, uptime, and user experience. Leverage tools like Google Analytics, heat maps, and other performance tracking tools to analyze site data and identify areas for improvement. Implement and monitor A/B testing, performance metrics, and conversion optimization strategies to continuously improve site functionality and customer experience. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key liaison between technical teams, marketing, operations, and executive leadership. Regularly report on the health and performance of the website, including key metrics, project updates, and areas of opportunity. Security & Compliance: Ensure the ecommerce platform is compliant with all security standards and regulatory requirements. Work with internal and external security experts to maintain a secure online environment for customers and prevent security breaches. Project & Budget Management: Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and budget management to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining the high-quality standards of the website and ecommerce operations. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following: Advanced Business Degree Packaging Distribution experience of increasing responsibility in the areas of: Customer Service Inventory Management Product Development Costing/Pricing Sales and Sales Support Vendor Selection and Contract Management eCommerce – technology and product focused . Language Skills Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Leadership Attributes The individual must possess the following: Superior time management skills including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and the ability to lead an effective and efficient meeting. Teaching skills in order to function effectively as a teacher for his/her personnel both in the sales and administrative parts of the position. Excellent crisis manager who demonstrates that he/she has a high emotional control under adverse conditions and can lead his/her personnel to a successful resolution. Excellent employee relations skills including being an active listener, understanding how to appraise personnel, applying both positive and corrective feedback, being able to resolve conflicts either involving the supervisor directly or as a third party, understands and demonstrates positive motivational skills including coaching and delegation techniques. Demonstrated confidence including providing a consistent leadership style with an acceptable level of professional assertiveness.
