Position Summary

Purpose:

Assist with the design and project management of engineering projects, encompassing activities from initial contact with clients through concept, design, manufacture, build, and test to completion of the associated documentation and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

• Preparation of innovative designs backed with engineering calculations and analysis.
• Preparation of manufacturing drawings.
• Liaison with suppliers and clients to ensure requirements are achieved and issues are resolved.
• Review and checking of drawings, calculations, and documentation.
• Taking ownership of projects from conception to completion and through all aspects of planning, design, manufacture, and testing. This includes project control such as cost control, scheduling, and conducting reviews and risk assessments.
• Support products and equipment as required (may require offshore trips).

General

Qualifications

Qualifications

REQUIRED

Degree or equivalent level of competence in an Engineering Discipline

Apprenticeship in a mechanical trade

Experience of designing mechanical systems

Knowledge of Remotely Operated Vehicles and related tooling

Knowledge of Lifting and Handling Systems

Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, structural steelwork, pressure vessels, electrical power and control systems
