About the Job The Sr. Supply Chain Financial Planner is a key leader amongst the Supply Chain planning group, responsible for developing financial targets for the Supply Chain that support the company’s LRP and financial objectives. This position requires a strong knowledge and background of planning practices and alignment with distribution and transportation strategies. This position will leverage the candidate’s analytical and leadership skill sets to influence the decision-making process and deliver the company’s plan objectives. The Sr. Supply Chain Financial Planner will be responsible for using data and predictive analytics to drive a profitable course of action and to set the analytical foundation for financial plans and targets. In addition to that, this role will: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with finance to set and measure financial targets by department for components of a rolling Supply Chain forecast (shipped units, shipped lines, units per line, wage rate, overtime %, transportation miles, transportation rate, fuel rates, miles per unit). Exemplify peer leadership and influence via support and guidance of the financial planning process across all teams and peer groups. Collaborate with Supply Chain Engineering, DC Facilities, Transportation, Corporate Finance, MPA and all other areas of the business to track Supply Chain, Merchandise and enterprise initiatives for target setting. Lead & create sustainable and agile forecasting tools for each component of the Supply Chain P&L. Analyze historical trends to set weekly and monthly Supply Chain planned metrics. Mine and analyze data to create distribution and transportation recommendations and strategies. Lead the identification of risks and opportunities and communicate in a timely manner to the business, recommending strategies to achieve financial goals. Lead plan review discussions to ensure that the company’s financial objectives are being met. Measure, audit, interpret, and report on key metrics related to performance, compliance, and/or budget for the business. Research gaps and identify opportunities to manage cost / achieve efficiencies with stakeholders. Set up and communicate performance goals to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure operational accuracy and quality. Actively create and lead special projects that drive cost saving opportunities across the Supply Chain EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a Supply Chain, Finance, or Analytics focus. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Planning, Analytics or related field. Demonstrated ability in utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills (i.e. critical and evaluative thinking) required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required. Ability to communicate effectively across levels and departments within the organization to drive decisions. Ability to influence decisions by creating a strong case for action, leveraging data and actionable insights Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities. TECHNICAL SKILLS Proficient skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Proficient skills in MicroStrategy or equivalent data systems are required. Proficient skills in Alteryx, Tableau, or SQL/Snowflake are preferred.
