Responsibilities Job Summary The Senior Admin Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) plays a critical role in administering, supporting, and analyzing systems within our environments. This position is pivotal in delivering real-time insights from massive scale data and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and enhance positive user experiences. We are seeking an individual who brings fresh perspectives, demonstrates exceptional technical proficiency, and is dedicated to continuously improving our systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience monitoring critical application and coordinating with infrastructure and dev teams to streamline and optimize the performance of these apps with a wide range of technologies, automation tools, operating systems, networking concepts and a desire to continuously improve upon that knowledge. Responsibilities Oversee the production environment by monitoring availability and ensuring a holistic view of system health. Lead efforts to improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market for our suite of software solutions. Spearhead initiatives to measure and optimize system performance, driving innovation and staying ahead of customer needs. Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve. Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large distributed software applications. Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. Evaluation of incidents after resolution. Ability to support incident escalation and troubleshooting. Understanding of data processing pipelines, and configuration on different software products. Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts. Understating stages of software development and be able to document different processes (KBs). Evaluate existing applications and platform to provide recommendations for system enhancements by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, assisting in the scoping of modifications, testing (UAT) signoff, and training. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. Deployment and support of the tools in use to monitor systems and applications. Define, prioritize, and resolve all support requests in an organized, efficient, and expedited fashion. Development, maintenance, and usage of automation scripts using JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, etc. Exploring and implementing new ways to automate systems. Designing and testing automation equipment and processes. Eliminating defects and errors with product and software development. Deploy RPA components including bots, robots, development tools, code repositories and logging tools. Assisting in developing standard IT configuration management methodology. Maintains CIs to ensure CMDB accuracy and completeness. Works with other ITSM processes to understand new requirements and identify how Configuration management can support. Monitor ticket tracking system for newly assigned tasks. Provide production support by monitoring and troubleshooting. Handle routine operations requests such as adding new users, restarting services. Implement and follow all policies and procedures for monitoring, and testing product availability. Ensure data quality and integrity is highlighted and maintained by standardization of data definitions Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (indicate specific field, if required) Experience 5-7 years’ experience Specialized Skills & Competencies Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript. Experience working with NOC tools, network management systems, automation tools, and monitoring applications. Experience working with Agile methodologies. Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning. Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment. Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure – Active Directory domains, DNS, DHCP, Windows Security, Group Policies, etc. Knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualization software, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud. Experience using IT systems ServiceNow, Everbridge, Twilio, Zendesk, Jira, etc. Experience using monitoring tools like Dynatrace SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Splunk etc. Experience using automation tools like Power Automate, UiPath, etc. Experience in managing and supporting Virtualize environments in VMWare Basic Understanding Load-balancers, web session state and be able to troubleshoot issues involving the same. Experience with ITIL / CMDB implementations Ability to identify inefficiencies and provide solutions to improve our systems and processes. Experience supporting web applications solutions including Paas, SaaS and IaaS Excellent verbal and written skills Ability to multitask and prioritize. Proven decision-making abilities.
