Job description: The Application Portfolio Management (APM) Product Owner is responsible for managing the application portfolio of GSK, ensuring that the applications are aligned with the business strategy, deliver value to the users, and comply with the quality and security standards. You will work closely with the business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to define the vision, roadmap, and backlog of the application portfolio platform. You will also oversee the delivery, enhancement, upgrades and access to the APM platform for the enterprise. This is a niche role requiring experience with both Enterprise Architecture and Application portfolio Manamgent tooling. In this role, you will help influence application consolidation across the enterprise, support software and hardware lifecycle management and maintain a platform that will help with enterprise planning. Key responsibilities: APM Platform Oversee for installing, updating, securing, and troubleshooting the APM software platform. Manage the access rights and permissions of the users, as well as the integration with other systems and data sources. Ensure that the APM software platform is reliable, available, and scalable, and that it meets the technical and functional requirements of the organization. Interact with various software tools (Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, OrbusInfinity, etc.) and system owners to share and integrate data. Work with various data warehouses, databases, and applications to extract data and provide visualizations (e.g. MS Power BI) to support reporting and decision making. Populate business and technical functions and capabilities in the APM platform Provide functional/technical support for APM platform APM Policies Support the evolution of the IT portfolio management processes and associated objectives and outcomes. Support the development and implementation of application portfolio management strategies, processes, and frameworks. Craft and maintain documentation related to application inventory, dependencies, and integration points. Develop and maintain APM end user documentation Application Portfolio Maintain and update the organization's application portfolio, including applications' lifecycle status, key metrics, and business criticality. Collaborate with global multi-functional teams to collect and analyze data on application utilization, performance, and costs. Rationalization of existing technologies including the identification of opportunities for consolidation, cost-savings, and simplification, and management of actions to achieve. Conduct regular portfolio reviews and assessments, finding opportunities for application rationalization, consolidation, or retirement. Maintain EA repositories to document enterprise architecture requirements. Design, implement, and update the EA repository/metamodel as needed. Support the IT/Application Portfolio Management Review process. Collect information and develop reports on project status and performance metrics as needed. Required Skills: Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools such as LeanIX, Ardoq, Planview, Alfabet, Mega. OrbusInfinity is highly desired. Proven ability to integrate various data sources via API to extract data and provide visualizations via MS Power BI Strong knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB in order to integrate with APM tool. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to be able to work with application owners at all levels. Overall experience of 15 + years with relevant experience of 3 years in IT with a focus on Enterprise Architecture 12+ years with relevant experience of 3 years in application portfolio management, product management, or business analysis. Strong understanding of the application portfolio management domain and the challenges and best practices of managing complex and diverse application landscapes. Strong knowledge of the application portfolio management frameworks, processes, and best practices. Understanding of application lifecycle management concepts, processes and enterprise architecture principles and frameworks Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as in a team environment.
