Responsibilities Key Purpose
Weatherford has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Inspector to join the team in Altens, Aberdeen. The Inspector is required to inspect the full range of product line assets which includes Drilling, Fishing, Liners, Completions, Well Services, Secure Drilling, Drilling Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection of company owned and third-party equipment in accordance with relevant company, customer and industry standards.
- Completion of inspection reports, work orders and work instructions in a timely manner to ensure that accurate maintenance and inspection records are available.
- Carry out visits as and when required to Inspection and Repair facilities to monitor the adherence to Weatherford/Client Specifications.
- At all times, act in a responsible manner, ensuring that all products supplied by company meet relevant company, customer and industry standards.
- Attend all training courses as required by company to ensure level of competency is maintained.
- Ensure all equipment utilised in inspection process is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Co-ordinate with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure that equipment is inspected to support operational requirements.
- Assist with the review of Material Test Reports for new equipment to ensure compliance with industry manufacturing standards and Product Line purchasing requirements.
- Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
- Required to work in an indoor and outdoor work environment.
- Participation in Shift Work.
- Participation in the On Call rotation.
QHSE Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company's, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
- Act in accordance with the Roles and Responsibilities as designated in Document 2-2-EW-GB-EDI-00001.
Qualifications Required
- Previous experience of inspection of Rotary Drilling, handling equipment, Bottomhole Assembly and Drill pipe.
- Previous experience of inspection of Fishing tools.
- Experience in the reporting of inspection findings.
- Commitment to excellence in quality and safety.
- Willingness to learn and address new standards.
- Holder of certification to ASNT level II in Magnetic Particle inspection.
- Holder of certification to ASNT level II in Dye Penetrant.
- Previous experience in the inspection of fishing tools, rotary drilling and handling equipment as well as bottomhole assembly and drill pipe.
- Good working knowledge of company, customer and industry inspection standards.
- Computer literate.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Literate and numerate.
- Ability to function as part of a team and interface with other departments.
- Willingness to learn and address new standards.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Educated to Standard Grade level in English and Maths.
Preferred
- Holder of certification to ANST Level II in Ultrasonic Inspection.
- Holder of certification to ACFM.
- Educated to Standard Grade level in a science or technical subject.
- Previous experience in the inspection of Liners, Completions, Well Services, Secure Drilling, Drilling Services.
