The Impact: As the Head of Technology for our Data Platform, you will lead a talented team of professionals, including a dedicated Product Manager, architect and two agile scrum teams, to drive the development and enhancement of the data platform we are building from the ground up. This role will report directly to the Head of Technology, Research, Advisory, and Specialty Solutions. You will be the strategic technology leader by defining and driving the overall technical vision, ensuring technology initiatives are in line with business goals and that the team is set up to successfully deliver on them. You will leverage your engineering expertise in partnership with the Product Manager to help design and strengthen the roadmap and communicate with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities: Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for the Bifrost Data Platform, aligning it with the overall business objectives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology initiatives are in line with business goals Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, including an Architect and two Scrum Teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment where all team members feel valued and empowered Oversee the architectural design and development of the data platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance meet industry best practices Define and manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure successful and on-time project delivery Work closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements Act as a liaison between technical teams and executive leadership, providing regular updates on project progress, technical innovations, and potential roadblocks What We’re Looking For: Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience Proven track record of successful leadership in a technology-driven environment, preferably in data platform or backend services development Strong understanding of data architecture, database design, and data management Experience with agile development methodologies and project management Experience planning and budgeting for project, both new and in motion Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams Nice to Have Qualifications: Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Knowledge of emerging technologies in data analytics and business intelligence Using cloud based solutions Flexible Working We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly.
