About the Job The Floor Planner is a key associate on the Merch Ops team. In this role, you will own an analytics-driven merchandising layout process that aligns with the company's vision and strategy. You'll blend art and science using team strategy and financial data to make recommendations that enhance profitability and the customer shopping experience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform quantitative analysis using internal and external sources to identify growth opportunities by interpreting customer and market behaviors. Present analysis findings to leadership through the Business Planning Process. Design and implement recommendations that support customer centricity and localization. Measure results of strategies to ensure they meet expectations. Optimize space to maximize sales and profits by store. Create and maintain planogram assignments in JDA Space Planning with utmost accuracy for seamless in-store execution. Partner with buying, merchandising, space planning, and real estate to ensure strategy aligns with overall category strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional groups (fixtures, real estate, store operations, pricing, etc.) to align on strategy execution. Align strategies for all stores, including new stores, tests, pilots, and new concept rollouts. Adhere to category release timelines and complete audits to ensure Best in Class in-store execution. Address store concerns or issues with urgency. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. In-store merchandising experience is a plus. Retail or visual merchandising experience preferred. Knowledge of JDA or other space/floor planning systems. Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Analytical and strategic thinking skills. Ability to influence decisions across multiple leadership levels using analytical findings. Continuous improvement mindset utilizing technology and training to improve processes. Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to translate business concepts into clear, understandable language to influence partners. Exceptional time management skills, able to set and meet deadlines consistently. Ability to work independently and in a team, building relationships, trust, and rapport quickly. Self-starter with attention to detail and producer of high-quality work.
