POSITION SUMMARY Bluecrest is seeking a Director of Digital Solutions Engineering who thrives on innovation and drives dynamic teams to create industry-leading software solutions. From machine control software for high-performance mailing systems to pioneering SaaS applications, your leadership will shape the future of global communication from our world headquarters in Danbury, CT. As the Director of Digital Solutions Engineering, you'll spearhead a global team in architecting, designing, and deploying software solutions that redefine efficiency and precision. Your passion for excellence will guide every phase of the software development lifecycle, from conception to client delivery, ensuring our solutions exceed expectations. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES * Direct multiple global teams of the Digital Solutions Engineering organization to architect, design, implement, test and deploy BlueCrest’s software solutions including: * Machine control software for our Inserter products * SaaS applications in Azure * Oversee and coordinate project schedules, ensure solutions meet all requirements and are delivered within specified timeframes and budget allocations. Manage external partner’s deliverables as required. * Partner with product management and meet with clients as needed to gather and define product requirements. * Collaborate closely with the professional services organization and other support groups to troubleshoot challenging issues and ensure smooth delivery of solutions to our clients. * Drive innovation through identification and adoption of new tools, processes and best practices. Evangelize these among all global development teams. * Motivate, coach and develop your people to achieve their peak potential. KEY RELATIONSHIPS The role will be responsible for collaborating across all business functions, including: * Development Engineering * Product Management * Professional Services * Clients and External Partners MINIMUM: * BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. * 10+ years of experience leading new product development teams. * 10+ years of experience with object-oriented software design & development over the full lifecycle process. * Proven track record of leading diverse teams on high-profile projects to success against critical deadlines. * Excellent project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. * Motivated leader able to identify solutions to challenging problems in line with deadlines. * Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work closely with senior management and interface with our clients. * Experience leading teams using Agile development methodologies. PREFERRED: * Experience developing machine control software on complex custom systems. * Experience developing SaaS products following the Well-Architected Framework. * Knowledge of information security best practices and experience designing applications following a Secure Development Lifecycle.
