PenFed is hiring a (Remote) Director, Consumer Banking Governance Controls. The primary purpose of this job is to manage vendor required activities, process engineering, resiliency planning, and technology governance as outlined in enterprise and regulatory guidance. The qualified candidate will demonstrate strong executive presence skills to execute on both internal and external strategies. This position will be supporting the business “First line of Defense”. **This role can be located anywhere in the United States** The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $115,492 to $187,902 This position is eligible for the organization’s annual Balanced Scorecard bonus subject to board discretion and approval This position is also eligible for the opportunity for an annual Pay for Performance bonus Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develop a program that aligns to guidance and requirements from Enterprise partners and the National Credit Union Administration. Partner with leaders to ensure program aligns to the business strategy and risk tolerances. Manage the communications plan for transparency of program events and activities. Collaborate with Third Party Risk Management, Enterprise Business Resiliency, Enterprise Technology Governance and internal business partners to execute on program goals. Monitor quality of Federated IT teams within Consumer Banking through vendors, quality assurance routines and control reporting to identify risk trends and opportunities. Provide governance and oversight for all Consumer Banking Technology releases. Identify, measure, monitor, and control risk associated IT business activities. Engage with Federated IT teams and management to provide internal and external audit support. Work with all lines of defense to implement, monitor, and report on action plan development related to findings. Work closely with contract owners to ensure adherence of third-party vendors with the terms of the contract and quality metrics to provide an excellent member experience and regulatory adherence. Evolve existing business continuity framework to include the full Business Continuity Management (BCM) lifecycle, disseminating recovery strategies and continuity policies/procedures across the Consumer Banking organization. Develop, manage and lead Consumer Banking business continuity activities including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCP), initiatives and training. Assist with Operations Risk, Control Self-Assessments, process inventory, and process mapping. Maintain expert knowledge of the consumer banking industry and recommends changes to benefit the credit union, members and staff. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required. Advance Degree or equivalent is preferred. Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible experience in consumer banking is required. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in IT and/or project/process management Minimum of four (4) years of direct management experience Supervisory Responsibility This position may supervise up 10 employees. Licenses and Certifications Certifications in project management, risk management, business continuity, and vendor management are strongly preferred. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Travel Travel to various worksites is required.
