Venturi, LLC has an exciting career opportunity for a Mechanical/Structural Engineer who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. In this role, you will provide expertise in structures, loads, and stress analyses for target missile systems. Responsibilities Work you’ll do    As a Mechanical/Structural Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:  Provide input to the Government program plans and technical requirements regarding missile structures design, analysis and test Review prime contractor designs, analyses and plans for testing to ensure sound technical approaches and compliance with contract requirements Identify and contribute to the resolution of structural design/analysis issues, problems and risks Review data requirements, analyses and test methodologies Assess manufacturing and producibility plans Review structural test plans/procedures, monitor testing and review test reports Generate technical briefings and decision packages Provide status reports of activities Represent the interests of the customer in Working Groups, forums, Technical Interchange Meetings and Failure Review Boards Review and evaluate prime contractor objective evidence provided in support of major milestone reviews, i.e., SRRs, PDRs and CDRs. Qualifications Required Skills: Master's Degree in STEM field and 12+ years of experience working on Missile Defense-related or another relevant program/project Demonstrated experience with aerodynamic and structural loads and stress analysis Familiarity with standard structural design practices for missile and space flight vehicles Dynamic analysis (vibration, shock, acceleration) Development and Qualification testing Working knowledge of modeling tools such as CAD, CREO and NX Familiarity with structural material properties Familiarity with engineering drawing processes and geometric tolerance practices Development and delivery of presentations to peer and executive leadership levels Proficiency with Microsoft tools (e.g. MS Word, Project, PowerPoint) Secret Clearance or higher required Desired Skills: Familiarity with MDA and system engineering processes Technical proposal development and evaluation How you’ll grow    At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
