Summary CHENEGA GLOBAL SERVICES, LLC Training Specialist Executive Order 13495, The Non Displacement of Qualified Workers Under Service Contracts provide first right of refusal to incumbents on contracts. If the position is accepted by the incumbent on the job, other application/resume of non-incumbents will not be reviewed. Summary: The Training Specialist shall be responsible ensuring all contract as well as subcontract personnel on the on-site children’s residential facility have successfully been trained to perform the tasks of their position, in accordance with ORR Policy. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Shall support the Emergency Response Program Director with the development of training courses and training materials for on-site children’s residential facility personnel. Identifies areas that require improvement, and creates training solutions to meet client and/or regulatory requirements. Actively seeks improvements to simply work processes (especially to effectively train on-site residential facility personnel and to improve the quality of care given to the children. Supports the development of internal training course modules and training materials. Supports the development of external training course modules and training materials. Supports the training of our Youth Care Workers, Senior Leads and Youth Care Workers, Leads (Train the Trainer) on how to train Youth Care Workers personnel at the on-site residential facility. May lead or participate in external training courses to witness how the audience (sample collection personnel) learns and understands the material so that the training courses can be enhanced to increase effectiveness. Analyze training feedback received from Assistant Emergency Response Directors, Case Managers and Youth Care Workers, Senior Leads and revise training course modules and training materials for continuous improvement of our ability to train on-site residential facility personnel. Acts as primary point of contact for childcare staff who are looking for guidance and for effective tools in their childcare techniques. May make formal presentations to the Company management concerning training; Keeps well informed on current technology applicable to area of expertise. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Responsible for adhering to ORR and other state regulations. Performs duties in a safe manner. Follows the corporate safety policy. Participates and supports safety meetings, training and goals. Ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility. Encourages co-workers to work safely. Identifies “close calls” and/or safety concerns to supervisory personnel. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Assists in active implementation of company initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA VPP, ISO, JCAHO, AAAHC, and other mandated regulations/standards. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) High School Diploma and at least three (3) years of relevant experience. Associates degree with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience, highly preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Two (2) plus years’ experience developing, implementing and providing training to personnel working on a residential care facility. Knowledge of government property, shipping, packing, and logistical operations. Any operations experience. Must demonstrate experience training and leading others and adapting to diverse situations. Must have the ability to resolve unforeseen problems with little or no direction from manager. Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed. Excellent presentation skills as well as oral and written communication skills required. Proficiency with computer, common office equipment, and MS Office products required. Clean criminal background check. Clean child abuse and neglect or child protective services check (CAN). Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to sit for more than 8 hours per day Must be willing to work over time, if necessary Ability to perform duties in a safe manner. Ability to follow the corporate safety policy. Ability to participate and support safety meetings, training and goals. Ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility. Encourages co-workers to work safely. Ability to identify close calls and/or safety concerns to supervisory personnel. Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
