Class 1 LGV Driver

<p>Job Purpose:<br />To facilitate the movement of goods as required in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.<br /><br />Roles &amp; Responsibilities:<br />* Operate vehicles in a safe and effective manner to minimise the risk of injury or damage to other vehicles and property<br />* Adheres to all policies and procedures<br />* Perform daily safety and maintenance checks through the drivers App<br />* Advise Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs<br />* Ensure vehicles and equipment are safely and securely stored<br />* Ensure weight distribution does not exceed gross 28 tonnes<br />* Carriage of Dangerous Goods in line with ADR regulations<br />* Accept, start and complete all relevant deliveries and collections using the Transport Management System (TMS)<br />* Ensure signatures are obtained within the TMS system via the App as proof of delivery<br /><br />Minimum Qualifications:<br />* LGV C+E licence<br />* Certificate of Professional Competence Card<br />* ADR licence<br />* Digi Tachograph Card<br /><br />Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours):<br />* Maintains positive work relationships<br />* Present a positive image of the Company through first class service, delivery and customer engagement<br />* Build effective relationship with staff, client representatives and vendors at all levels of the business<br />* Deal with colleagues, vendors and clients in a positive, courteous and respectful manner<br />* Good concentration at all times and a strong and focused safety awareness<br />* Flexibility<br />* Good interpersonal skills<br />* Ability to follow instructions<br />* Ability to operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner<br />* Dangerous Goods Awareness<br />* Manual Handling Training<br /><br />Desirable Qualifications/Competencies:<br />* COSHH awareness<br />* Safety awareness skills<br />* Stress management skills<br />* Decision making skills<br />* Problem solving skills<br />* Time management skills<br />* Good knowledge of local area<br />* Able to use the company IT equipment with little supervision</p>
