<b>What you will be doing:</b><br />
<br />
The Delivery Specialist- Chemical Tanker will drive a tractor-trailer combination capacity up to 80,000 GVW, to transport and deliver hazardous and non-hazardous materials in bulk or packaged form. You will be required to load and unload tanker, &amp; Chem-Flex van trailer.<br />
<br />
<b>Key Responsibilities</b><br />
<br />
As the Delivery Specialist- Chemical Tanker, you will:</p>

<ul>
<li>Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo; adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of company equipment.</li>
<li>Comply with Company policies and procedures, Health and Safety procedures, Department of Transportation and Hazardous Materials/Waste requirements and regulations.</li>
<li>Complete daily scheduled deliveries and services in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Highest attention towards customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent service always.</li>
<li>Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports, demurrage and time sheets.</li>
<li>Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules.</li>
<li>Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any deficiencies to Supervisor.</li>
<li>Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles; be responsible for scheduling both preventative and unplanned maintenance</li>
<li>Work with scheduler, customer sites, inventory planners to obtain delivery instructions and schedule unloading</li>
</ul>

<b>Qualifications</b></p>

<ul>
<li>High School Diploma/GED</li>
<li>Valid Class 1 driver&
39;s license with a clean driver abstract</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience with AZ / Class 1 Driver&
39;s License, hazardous materials transportation and driving a tractor-trailer combination unit.</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a Commercial Driver&
39;s License AZ/Class 1 with Hazmat endorsement. First aid, H2S, as well as customer site and orientation requirements.</li>
<li>Knowledge of chemical handling equipment, pumps and compressors for offloading</li>
<li>Capable to operate tandem - tandem, combination units</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices</li>
<li>Ability to work in extreme climates, remote locations, and heavy industrial settings.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills, while managing time and productivity</li>
<li>Must be capable of performing physical duties (lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching)</li>
<li>Strong reliability, punctuality and integrity</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, as required. PAID COMPANY HOTEL AND MEALS (no sleeping in truck)</li>
</ul>

<li>All weather driving experience (heat, snow, ice, hail, sleet, rain, fog)</li>
<li>Mountain driving experience.</li>
<li>Experience with Freightliner or Kenworth tractor equipment</li>
<li>Excellent communication and documentation skills</li>
<li>Attention to detail and math skills</li>
<li>Strong computer skills</li>
<li>Ability to wear a respirator per customer requirements</li>
</ul>

Position is based from Edmonton AB and make deliveries to Fort McMurray and western Canada. Up to 50% overnight travel (home majority of weekends) COMPANY PAID HOTEL AND MEALS<br />
