We are looking for a dynamic and driven, new CEO with strategic vision, direction, and inspirational leadership to lead and support the team at a leading charity that delivers valuable services to victims/survivors of sexual assault and abuse across Derby City and Derbyshire County. They are seen as a one stop shop for services and the charity enjoys a reputation of being seen as 'experts' in this field. It has secured positive relationships with commissioners and partner agencies in the local area, regionally and nationally.
About the CEO role
The Chief Executive role will be key to building the charity as a leading Derbyshire charity in relieving the suffering associated with sexual violence. The job requires significant management capabilities and the ability to implement change. We are looking for an inspiring and motivating leader. The leadership requirements of the role are significant, and as the CEO you will have to be able to encourage and manage growth whilst not losing sight of the charity's core values. You will be creative, passionate, confident, and engaging, with a collaborative leadership style. The external image of the charity will be of critical importance so stakeholder management skills and management of reputation will also be a key requirement for the position.
You will have direct experience creating new services as well as bidding for new contracts, coupled with having excellent people management skills and an inclusive, empowering approach. You will be emotionally intelligent and have an empathy and sensitivity for the cause.
To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
* inspirational leadership skills, ideally gained at an organisation of comparable scale and complexity
* strong financial management skills and the ability to manage a complex budget
* experience of writing bids and securing contracts or funding
* experience of managing change and transforming a business
* excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective networks with local government, statutory and other voluntary organisations
* experience of managing support services and a clear understanding of trauma and its impact
* the ambition and energy to drive forward SV2's work and impact
