Creative Support is looking for a warm, reliable and caring Support Worker to join our friendly staff team in Jarrow, Tyne and Wear. Our Woodside Close service in Jarrow is a complex supported living service supporting service users with Learning Disabilities, Complex Needs and Autism. We operate over 3 units, containing 7 bungalows and provide support to 6 service users: 2 female and 4 male.

Support Worker duties:

• Providing personal care, medication and positive behaviour support,
• Supporting service users with access to their local community, college, leisure activities, helping to arrange holidays and city breaks!
• The service provides support to meet individualised needs and does require shift work, which includes contributing to a 24hr rota including sleepovers,
• Shift patterns may include 3 shifts over 7 days, e.g. 8:00 – 21:00.

Previous experience and relevant qualifications (NVQ level 2) are desired but not essential as full training is provided by our Creative Support Training Academy, as is the opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. This service is located just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Jarrow, with regular tram and bus routes connecting the service to the wider area. A clean UK driving licence is also preferred but not essential.
