Job Title: Cross-Journal Associate Editor – Nature Reviews

Nature Reviews has a vacancy for a full time Cross-Journal Associate or Senior Editor. As Springer Nature is committed to our diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.

This exciting position involves being part of a team of Cross-Journal Editors that work closely, and flexibly, with the clinical sciences, life sciences and physical sciences Nature Reviews journal teams on varied aspects of the editorial process, including editing commissioned content, organizing peer review and writing short articles. The team will also launch and produce the new Research Briefing article (short, accessible summaries of original research papers) across the Nature Research Journals. 

To meet these challenging tasks, the ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of, and ideally research experience in, scientific areas relevant to one or more of the clinical, life or physical sciences Nature Reviews journals. Previous editorial experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Other essential attributes include exceptional literary and verbal communication skills, great attention to detail, a commitment to the communication of scientific ideas and excellent organizational and time-management skills.

The successful candidate will report to the Cross-Journal Editorial Team Leader of the Nature Reviews division.

This role can be located in our London or Berlin office. The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Editorial experience is not required, although applicants with significant editorial experience are encouraged to apply and will potentially be considered for Senior Editor positions.

We are currently working remotely and have a strong virtual on-boarding induction in place.

When it is safe to return to the office we have a Global Working from Home Policy which will be discussed during interview.
