One of our lovely Greenwich-based Primary Trusts are looking to draft a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant who can play a key role in the academic development and in-school engagement of some of their students - sound good...?
 

As a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant, you will:

*Develop and prepare visual materials for therapy and classroom sessions

*Keep written records of pupil observations

*Carrying out general Teaching Assistant responsibilities in amongst your Speech & Language role

*Work under supervision of the school SENCo and various Class Teachers

*Provide effective support to less experienced colleagues, modelling good practice!
 

This Speech & Language Teaching Assistant role will include extensive in house and external training via the Trust, designed to further develop your S+L profile, and there will be support and supervision from the Speech & Language Therapy Department. Work across the Trust, engaging selected students and looking to plan and deliver sessions to help academic progress, whilst also supporting students 1:1 as you help to build their social, communication and physical skills.
