Hours- 35 (plus 5 hours paid lunch breaks)

Who  we are looking for?

We are looking for a passionate, energetic and self-driven Service Lead to manage a dynamic and responsive Intensive Housing Management Service in Greater Manchester and Merseyside.The primary aim of the schemes is to provide temporary self-contained accommodation together with housing management services for people leaving supported housing along with prison leavers, families and people at risk of homelessness.Together with your Housing Management Workers, you will oversee/sign post tenants to specialist services where required which may include statutory agencies (probation, adult social care, and children’s social care) and specialist support services (e.g. mental health and drug treatment services). You will manage a portfolio of dispersed properties across Greater Manchester and Merseyside ensuring high quality, effective housing management services.This will include ensuring all aspects of property compliance are implemented and maintained, working with landlords and agents and communities to deliver good services.

Essential requirements:

The successful applicant will have extensive experience at managing housing and intensive housing management services across a range of client groups.An understanding of the current operating environment within the housing  sector.Extensive experience and understanding of compliance and quality frameworks for housing related support and intensive housing management services.  Knowledge and understanding of effective risk assessment and accommodation planning processes for people with a range of needs. Travel is essential and the role forms part of the NW area on call out of hour’s service.The post holder will be required to work on an on call rota covering one week in 7 of average. The frequency may change in line with the need of the business*The on call allowance is:£15.42 weekdays and £30.84 Weekends  and Bank holidays.Driver with access to own vehicle Hold a recognise management / housing qualificationEducated to degree   level or equivalent  *On call is a telephone support service to staff and service users that is for emergencies only. The on call manager is only required to attend in the event of an emergency.
