Technical Product Owner: Location: Schneider Electric Bangalore Key responsibilities: · Be a technology and process expert, driving work packages and priorities for a software system that includes a website, real-time services running on redundant servers, as well as connected devices like electrical meters. · Work with other agile team members and marketing to specify, design and build systems that provide maximum flexibility for our software system. · Develop efficient ways to define agile team work, and iteratively improve the team's approach. · Understand customer expectations and convert to product technical specifications. · Aggregate ideas and innovation from design, test, execution and strategic concerns to improve the product and the systems it's a part of. o Quickly and accurately report and manage product defects and quality o Participate in continuous improvement of product quality and contribute to the product and planning decisions. o Be a key part of an agile team from planning through execution to reporting o Be a flexible team member, willing to work on what the agile team needs to achieve its collective goals. o Provide resolutions for technical roadblocks after discussing with stakeholders Qualifications Qualifications - Technical: · Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical, electronic or computer science (or related field). · 10+ years of development or verification / validation experience in electrical industry. · 2+ years of experience as a product owner for an energy management or SCADA or similar products · Experience in Power monitoring expert and ION meters and ION protocol is desirable. · Knowledge of communication protocols and standards used in electrical industry. · Good understanding of the power meter & insulation monitoring device range offers and its targeted customer applications. · Solid understanding of the building management and power management applications. · Strong power systems and metering expertise. · Experience working with electric utility companies preferred. · Experience in using agile tools like jira, Version 1, TFS desirable. Qualifications – Soft skills: · You have the aptitude and energy to quickly reach understanding of needs, realize what we have, and how to get product to where it needs to be. · You possess and can put to use knowledge of complex software and hardware systems to solve real problems. · You have critical and lateral thinking ability. · You are smart and get things done · You can break down complex requests from stakeholders and break them down with team input into pieces of work that are manageable. · You have a keen eye for detail and a fussy but pragmatic approach to your work. · You have proven experience working with developers, product owners, and application engineers in an agile framework · You can articulate and justify business needs and weigh them against technical needs to reach efficient, satisfying solutions for both marketing and technical people · You are willing to jump in and solve problems for the team, regardless of whether this means helping with development or testing, or flying to a customer to solve an issue, or organizing a workshop to solve larger problems.
