This is a manufacturing operative role within a factory - construction on a production line. You maybe building timber framed walls, floors or putting the houses together. Equally you maybe working in the pre-assembly area with a keen eye for detail and ensuring accuracy. If you are used to working in a warehouse, you may suit their warehouse environment taking goods from warehouse to lineside. Customers come first - employees do everything they can to meet and exceed customer expectations. You will be able to following basic engineering drawings and SOPs
You will understand the relevance of working at pace but with an unquestionable focus on quality and ability to problem solve!
Duties may include:
- Cutting timber and board materials to size using appropriate cutting equipment
- Making floor/ceiling panels using semi-automated framing equipment and hand tools
- Operating pneumatic and electrical plant and equipment
- Assembly of the external and internal walls, floors and ceilings
- Painting/decorating of walls
- Fitting of external cladding systems using hand tools
- Supporting Tiling and joinery works
- Cladding panels with sheet materials
