Welcome to this innovative modular housing organisation. The business employs approximately 250 people across a range of production, manufacturing and support functions. They deliver design-led homes fit for 21st century living through a unique technology-enabled approach. They have a facility in Derby with offices in London and sites within the Midlands and South East of England. The award winning business has been operational since 2016 and is looking to increase capacity in the current location and has plans for expansion to a second site. It's a very exciting business!
They currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician. You will be part of a small team (of 5) who keep the facility in tip top condition, undertaking TPM, repairs, maintenance and responding to any unfortunate breakdowns (which sometimes happens)! They are looking for someone who enjoys variety. You will have a can-do attitude and share your technical expertise to ensure a safe working environment and equipment. You will be able to fault find quickly and efficiently and provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns.
Required Skills
- Mechanical/electrically qualified maintenance technician (either NVQ/Apprenticeship/HND) - min 2 years within similar environment.
- Experience of working fast pace manufacturing (i.e. used to responding quickly and efficiently and getting this resolved)
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- SAFE SAFE SAFE - Health and Safety paramount - to lead by example with all machines/tools
- Ability to respond positively when under pressure - working together with colleagues on the shop floor
- Good team-working skills and communication to relay issues correctly to both managers and colleagues.
