«out The Role Summary This position is responsible for performing the primary review on all reportable loans related to the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) as well as the review and monitoring of Flood Insurance to ensure the bank is compliant with regulations and internal policy and procedures. The compensation range for this position is $35.00-$43.00 hourly and will vary depending on what city the applicant works in. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs lending compliance monitoring procedures in accordance with the Bank’s compliance monitoring programs for Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA); Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and the Flood Disaster Protection Program (Flood). Analyze and interpret loan applications and related documentation gathered during the loan underwriting and processing stages to appropriately code for HMDA and CRA reporting purposes. Coordinate and collaborate with various departments within the Bank to resolve any inconsistencies in loan data and recommend changes warranted that will ensure the efficiency and accuracy of reporting HMDA, CRA and Flood data. Maintain a good working knowledge of consumer and commercial loan documentation and the various rules, regulations and practices governing the execution and perfection of documentation. Maintain a good working knowledge of the requirements of HMDA to perform primary validation to ensure all data points are valid and supported with required source documentation. Maintain a good working knowledge of CRA related to small farm/small business reporting requirements to perform primary validation to ensure all data points are valid and supported with required source documentation. Maintain a good working knowledge of Flood requirements to perform primary review to ensure adequate coverage for applicable loans. Perform monthly and semi-annual flood reviews and report any findings to Manager. Maintain a good working knowledge of section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act (when implemented by the CFPB). Assist in training and providing direction on compliance related laws and regulations as well as provide technical lending compliance support to loan staff. Interact regularly with loan staff, management and compliance officer on special situations and corrective action needed regarding loan compliance related to Consumer and Commercial loans. Prepares various reports pertaining to HMDA, CRA and Flood monitoring per regulatory guidelines and internal procedures. Assist in the facilitation and participation in division Management Compliance Committee meetings to provide information on error ratios and trends related to HMDA, CRA and Flood. Maintain tickler tracking for flood notifications and send required notification letters to customers as required. Prepare reports detailing error, resolution, and trends for HMDA, CRA and Flood data to Management and division’s Compliance Committee. Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance procedures to help staff adhere to applicable laws and regulations, make recommendations to Manager when appropriate. Perform secondary validation and follow procedures for monitoring and reporting related to HMDA and CRA in a back-up capacity as outlined in the job description for Loan Compliance Specialist Secondary Validator. Validate 10% of loans booked monthly for compliance to policies, procedures and related regulation and report finding to Manager Other Job Functions: Participate in ongoing training courses to keep current with policies, procedures and banking regulations, to include completing BVS Trainings by scheduled time frame. Other duties as assigned About You QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma Minimum 5 years experience in a loan compliance role or loan documentation processing role in a commercial or consumer banking environment. Knowledge of HMDA and CRA regulations and reporting requirements preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Knowledge and understanding of administration and perfection of consumer, commercial and real estate loans. Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of compliance with HMDA, CRA and Adverse Action and Flood regulations and/or policies. Ability to read and interpret documents such as job aids, policies and procedures and demonstrate ability to apply what is applicable. Proficient knowledge of LaserPro document generation software. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. Knowledge of Jack Henry Silverlake/Xperience and Laser Pro platforms preferred. Knowledge of nCino Salesforce platform preferred. Ability to apply logical or critical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. Able to analyze and interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate a high level of organization, ability to prioritize and multi-task with attention to detail and accuracy, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate self-motivation and ability to follow through with tasks. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneous in a fast-paced, diverse, and growth-oriented environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work performed in an office environment. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
