Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor within CORAL FLNG S.A. in offshore Mozambique. You will be assisting the Maintenance Instrument Superintendent in maintaining the Coral FLNG facilities' electronic systems and equipment in optimal working conditions. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with company safety policies and contributing to the reduction and elimination of risks associated with maintenance tasks at the facility. Additionally, you will be responsible for motivating associates to achieve peak performance, assisting in both long-term planning and day-to-day scheduling of maintenance works, and fostering a positive work environment to ensure colleagues perform at their best in field-related tasks.
Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:
Project Phase: - Provide Instrument & Control System input and oversight for all phases of the Coral FLNG project.
- Review the specification, design and supply of instrument systems for equipment in offshore production facilities, ensuring they meet project objectives, industry standards and best practices for safety, reliability and cost.
- Represent maintenance during FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
- Assist Operations in ensuring a smooth transition from the commissioning phase to the operational phase, working closely with Project Control instrument engineers for any technical support requirements.
- Select the most technically and economically advantageous solutions and products for instrumentation and automation systems.
- Ensure the overall design integrity of instrumentation and automation systems, maintaining compliance with international standards, company guidelines and engineering best practices.
Project Phase: - Plan, direct and supervise the personnel of the instrument maintenance team in maintaining the Coral FLNG facility to meet all key target objectives, with a focus on improved maintainability, reliability and availability.
- Provide intervention and problem-solving with discipline Superintendents, interfacing with Asset Integrity in special cases.
- Set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities with long-range horizons based on a sound knowledge of maintenance expectations, policies, budgets and strategic plans.
- Provide feedback to the Maintenance Superintendent for developing the maintenance budget and ensure its accuracy by controlling expenditures.
- Prepare training plans for staff in view of TNA for skill development and provide on-the-job training and guidance for subordinates and Graduate Trainees.
- Manage and execute MOC and minor projects.
- Review all preventive maintenance procedures critically and develop work instructions for each maintenance activity.
- Assist in major maintenance works such as shutdowns, troubleshooting and overhauling of major equipment such as compressors, gas turbines and cryogenic main equipment.
- Support and assist Automation & Control Engineers in ensuring the safe working condition of ESD (Emergency Shutdown System), F&G Control System, and DCS (Control & Safety System).
- Ensure the efficient running and maintenance of gas turbine and compressor auxiliary controls and DCS.
- Assist Instrument Engineers in performance checks, spare parts review and record-keeping as required.
- Maintain the housekeeping and orderliness of the maintenance workshop.
- Assist the Instrument Superintendent in reviewing the spares required for corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with all three Discipline Supervisors and the Warehouse Coordinator to improve the inventory system.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the nature, specificities, and operational requirements of the company.
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Extensive field experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry, preferably in cryogenic operations/LNG in the field of control & automation.
- Proven track record as an Instrument Supervisor.
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills in controls and automation systems used in LNG and petrochemical process industries.
- Leading-edge experience in cryogenic operations for LNG.
- Working experience with DCS, ESD, and Fire & Gas control systems is essential.
- Strong commitment and working knowledge of safety and loss control programs.
- Preference for Emerson Delta V experience.
- Experience in remote environment operations.
- Proficiency in CMMS management.
- Experience with maintenance operations budgets, procedures, and KPIs.
- Knowledge of company asset integrity, maintenance vision, and plant online availability.
- Experience with technical studies, maintenance contracts, and QHSE compliance.
- Understanding of IT hardware architecture (generic).
- Knowledge of plant design, including instrument and telecom design.
- Experience with plant construction and installation.
- Proficiency in control system knowledge, inspection, control, and testing techniques.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Demonstrated personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Strong presentation, reporting, and coaching skills with a good understanding of business.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, integrity and discretion.
