Summary

Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Infrastructure Services Manager to shape and develop mission critical infrastructure services for Historic England and English Heritage as we transition to new cloud technologies and adoption of the modern digital workplace.

What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for dealing with a wide variety of applications, business services and data types, and you will play a vital role in enabling our organisations to leverage the most out of our recent IT investments.

You will be involved in an exciting project portfolio, the development of our back office case and resource management systems and helping us to leverage the power of our mobility solutions empowering our field based operations with apps and services that provide on-the-spot real time data insight and planning tools as they visit and care for the nation`s most important historic places.

Who we are looking for:

-Proven experience of managing and motivating a team of IT specialists to deliver enterprise services against SLA`s
-Practical working experience of Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure and Microsoft 365 services
-Experience in managing budgets and obtaining `value for money` and implementing cost efficiencies
-Able to pay close attention to detail without losing sight of the overall aims and objectives when drafting or reviewing policy, guidance or agreements
-A deep knowledge of IT technologies and issues
-Able to work with people in a variety of roles, different levels and with third party contract staff
