Hamptons Resourcing are delighted to be partnering Manx Care, Nobles Hospital Isle of Man in their quest to secure a number of Health Visitors – Health Services
The role: Health Visitor (Registered Specialist Public Health Practitioner).
It is an exciting time to join the health care team in Isle of Man Health Services. With a small cohort of newly qualified Specialist Nurse Practitioners joining the team, as an experienced and qualified nurse, you will be a talented mentor supporting them as they begin their nursing career journey. This is alongside the responsibility for training and supervision of community staff nurses and nursery nurses.
You will be responsible for a number of designated caseloads; and you will play an instrumental part in the positive re-activation of the service. You will support the emotional wellbeing and welfare of children and families on the island from ante-natal referral, pre-school through to school. Operating within various settings from service users’ homes, to well child health clinics. Your primary role is in safeguarding children; the health visitor is usually the first to identify and/or refer safeguarding issues, including children and families in need.
Working as part of a wider team you will assess the health needs of mother to be from an ante natal referral and create/provide a care plan to best support each individual’s needs. You will make referrals and work in partnership with multi-professional agency partners from the wider health care circle and 3rd sector, from safeguarding through to sharing best practice, contributing to the safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children and families. You will attend strategy meetings, case conferences and court attendances relating to families on your caseload.
You will be committed to achieving high levels of performance and the best possible outcomes for service users.
