The Role: Head, Supply Chain Research The Location: United Kingdom or United States The Impact: This role resides within the combined Economics & Country Risk (ECR) + Maritime, Trade & Supply Chain (MTSC) business unit within Market Intelligence. The role is responsible for leading the global supply chain insights research strategy across the ECR and MTSC business unit while also supporting the development and refinement of the research strategy for the broader Research, Advisory and Specialty Solutions (RASS) business line. This will include delivering cross-product research and supporting synergy initiatives related to the development of our new Supply Chain Console offering. This will be a critical role that helps demonstrate how our combination of data, content and technology helps our customers make critical supply chain evaluation decisions. Ultimately, we expect this role to lead a team of researchers dedicated to our Supply Chain product suite. Responsibilities: Leads development of supply chain research strategy for ECR and MTSC practice globally. The main function will produce cross data set research that helps generate leads for our Supply Chain Console and underlying products that feed into it (I.E. Panjiva, Global Trade Analytics Suite, Pricing and Purchasing, etc.). Produce research that adds value to our existing customer base resulting in benefits that improve customer retention and support average account growth. Research should also increase user engagement and product usage. Provide go to market support for our Supply Chain Console initiative, support product development efforts by offering guidance on user workflow and support the education of the commercial team on the benefits of multi-data set use. Lead the production of various existing trade forecasting publications including our annual “2023 Annual Trade Outlook” report, monthly “Global Trade Monitor” report and our Quarterly “Supply Chain Newsletter”. Produce various ad-hoc content that supports our core products including but not limited to: The Global Trade Analytics Suite, Panjiva, Pricing & Purchasing and Country Risk. Liaise internally with various industry and product analysts, researchers and experts to ensure consistent messaging across teams within the Market Intelligence division. Enhance the reputation of SPGMI through ensuring professional proactive engagement with the market, which will beneficially impact our external stakeholders’ view of the value we add to the market.
