MM/BH REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Primary Purpose of the Job
Responsible for leading and managing all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) activities for the MM Maydan Mahzam Field Redevelopment Project, ensuring full compliance with QatarEnergy corporate requirements, departmental guidelines, IMS certification standards, and regulatory HSE obligations.
Provides project-wide oversight of quality and HSE performance and leads the implementation and management of QHSE systems across all project phases.
Required Experience and Skills
Minimum 20 years' experience in Quality & HSE Management within offshore oil & gas projects Experience across all project phases: concept, FEED, detailed engineering, and EPIC/execution At least 5 years in a senior QHSE leadership role with a major Operator, EPC/EPIC contractor, or international consultant Strong knowledge of QHSE and environmental regulations, international codes and standards Proven experience developing Project QHSE plans, procedures, specifications, and risk registers Hands-on experience in incident investigations, NCR/CAR management, audits, and corrective actions Experienced QHSE auditor for project and contractor compliance reviews Solid technical background in construction, welding, NDT/NDE, and offshore QA/QC practices Familiarity with major O&G operator specifications (Shell DEPs / QCS advantageous) Strong leadership, reporting, and communication skills fluent in written and spoken English

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
- IRCA-approved and registered Lead Auditor (or equivalent) for at least one IMS standard:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
- Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (preferred)
- International professional certifications in multi-disciplinary areas such as:
- Welding
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Painting / Coatings / Surface Protection (preferred)
- Membership of a recognized Chartered or Professional Institution (preferred)
