Summary C2 ALASKA, LLC San Antonio, TX This Job is Contingent Upon Bid Award The Estimator is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the creation, estimates for repair and maintenance projects throughout the region. Responsibilities Responsible for the collection, classification, and analysis of historical data. Required to read blueprints or architectural drawings to determine necessary resources for projects within budgetary constraints. Determines necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints. Prepare cost estimates for Work Orders and Projects using RS Means as the basis of estimate as directed by the Project Manager. Develop scope of work for projects to be provided to vendors/subcontractors as part of a Requst for Quote package. Confer with Project Manager, vendors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Resolves discrepancies between estimates and vendor/subcontractor proposals by collecting and analyzing information. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Attend pre-award project review meetings to assist management with negotiations between the Company and vendors, subcontractors, and Government. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Five (5) years creating estimates for sustainment, revitilazatoin, and modernization projects. Ability to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI), in accordance with AR 380-67. Valid Driver’s License. Travel 65-70% of each month. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must possess a working knowledge of RS Means and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. Ability to use good judgment and common sense when performing job functions, ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to be punctual and possess patience to work under stressful conditions. Ability to identify areas requiring immediate attention and the use of practical skill to solve problems. Must be available to work variable shifts including weekends when required. Knowledge and ability to maintain a quality management and environmental system in accordance with the applicable industry and ISO Standards as applicable. Knowledge of applicable environmental policies, programs and laws. Ability to analyze, develop, evaluate, advise or promote improvements in programs. Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress. Possess the appropriate verbal and written communication skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
