Oceaneering is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our SSR & OPG engineering department in Forus, Norway. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge subsea tools and equipment, working alongside a team of experienced engineers.
Duties & Responsibilities
What will you be doing
•
• Design and engineering of state-of-the-art subsea tools and equipment using modern 3D CAD and 3D printing tools.
• Participate in the entire product lifecycle, from concept design and engineering to manufacturing, testing, and deployment.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings using industry-standard CAD software.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to ensure the functionality and reliability of subsea equipment.
• Collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines, including electrical and hydraulic engineers.
• Participate in workshops and testing activities to ensure smooth integration of your designs.
Qualifications
What are we looking for
•
• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Practical experience with mechanics and hydraulics is a plus
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering mechanics
• Proficiency in using 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor etc.)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• A passion for technology and a strong work ethic
