Langley House Trust is an innovative Christian charity that provides specialist housing, programmes and support services in the community, and targeted advice in prisons, for offenders seeking to live crime-free. Established for over 60 years, Langley House Trust Group is today a dynamic £17m organisation, working with around 686 clients in 2020-21, and it has earned an enviable reputation for reducing reoffending with proven results. Part of the Langley House Trust Group, Kainos Community runs Challenge to Change, a pioneering prison wing community and post-release mentoring programme. Clean Sheet is another important part of the organisation, helping people with convictions to find sustainable employment after prison. We are growing and expanding our client delivery models so this is an exciting time to take up our new Director of People role, working closely with colleagues in the leadership team, reporting to our CEO, Tracy Wild. The role requires travel to locations in England, with some overnight stops, plus around 3 or 4 days a fortnight in Coventry where our central services are based.
The Director of People will develop and create a people strategy, ensuring that the values, mission and vision and the Christ centred culture of the Group are always visible. This Director will set good standards in our People work enabling our staff teams to reach their potential and enjoy their work and demonstrate Christian leadership as a member of the leadership team and in carrying out key responsibilities of the post. For this reason, there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practicing Christian (Equality Act 2010)

This role will require visits to our CQC registered care homes.
