The Senior Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion acts as a champion for change and a subject-matter expert, ultimately responsible for the organization’s DE&I strategy. The Senior Director will collaborate across all functions to educate and engage employees while driving momentum for our DE&I programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role acts as a thought partner to business leaders and serves as a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team (HRLT). Primary responsibilities include: · Develop, drive, and deliver DE&I programs across the global enterprise · Work with Leaders across the company to embed DE&I into all employee life touch-points (Employee Value Proposition, Employee Voice Survey, Talent Acquisition, Mentorship Programs, Succession Planning, etc.); act as the subject matter expert on all matters DE&I and be accountable for the evolution of the company DE&I strategy, aligned with business objectives and market share · Create and own comprehensive performance data that: measures impact and ROI, provides decision making reporting on program strategy, effectiveness / enhancements · Utilizes / implements holistic program performance to influence, drive strategy, and make sound business decisions · Recognize opportunity, model, and provide strategic direction for education on cultural competency, gender differences, disability, sexual harassment, bias blind spots, building a climate of equity and inclusion, and other topics to increase awareness and support of equity and inclusion values, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws · Lead, enable, support company-sponsored Employee Resource Groups (ERG) to ensure alignment with business and strategy objectives; identify Senior Management Sponsors for program sustainment · Support, advocate, and advise the DE&I Executive Council, incorporating feedback and insight from all levels in the organization to develop and execute diversity objectives · Provide expertise to help teams build inclusive and respectful cultures, leveraging the diversity of perspectives, experiences, skills and talents of our employees to drive innovation, productivity, career development, and excellent customer and employee experiences · Partner with key stakeholders to design, develop, and integrate effective strategies to attract, recruit, develop, and retain diverse talent that promote our inclusive culture and reflect our communities Knowledge / Skills / Experience: · Bachelor’s Degree and a passion for promoting corporate social responsibility in a public company; Masters Preferred · 7+ years' experience implementing fair company policies, inclusion programs, and objective hiring procedures in a complex, high growth, fast-paced organizations · Experience developing innovative solutions and strategies and communicating and executing initiatives that drive measurable results within the context of the organization's people and business strategy · Broad knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion processes, procedures, best practices, resources, and networks · Advanced relationship management experience building strong, trusting, and collaborative relationships with an ability to influence, lead, engage with both internal and external stakeholders to include C-suite · Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences from leadership to the entire organization · Ability to lead and manage change in a fast paced, dynamic, and high-growth organization · Excellent presentation skills with the ability to influence, inspire, and articulate DE&I vision, goals, and progress · Excellent organizational skills with a fine attention to detail · Experience with change management concepts including corporate culture and branding · Understanding of the latest trends, industry research, thought leaders, and regulations relating to corporate social responsibility At Hertz, we champion and celebrate a culture of diversity and inclusion.
