<br><br> Our operator client is looking for a <b>Senior HSE Advisor</b> who will be based onshore, and will transition into a rotational offshore role in the future (equal rotation), supporting all HSE aspects of operational decommissioning and CCS activities in the field.<br><br> <br><br> The individual will be proactive and lead by example within the LB HSE Department, promoting HSE standards across all LB activities, including both existing production activities and future decommissioning and CCS activities. The role will deliver HSE advice and promote zero harm through development and utilisation of appropriate work practices, plans and procedures. The individual will foster a positive HSE culture to ensure HSE compliance requirements are understood and met, and that risks are managed according to both legal requirements and standards. The individual will be able to effectively prioritise a diverse workload and self-manage delivery against competing deadlines.<br><br> <br><br> Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities<br><br> <br><br> • Provide all necessary HSE and technical support to both existing production activities and future decommissioning/CCS activities, applying excellent working knowledge of UK HSE legal requirements and best practice.<br><br> • Act as an exceptional team player, supporting the workload of all other team members when required, in support of the LB future decommissioning and CCS activities.<br><br> • Participate in workplace activities to deliver excellent HSE management, including workplace risk assessments, incident investigations and risk management processes.<br><br> • Monitor/audit both the LB HSE management system/ procedural compliance and Management System Guidelines (MSG).<br><br> • Good working knowledge of LBA Offshore Safety Case, onshore COMAH report and related safety studies (QRA, FERA, HAZID, HAZOPs, LOPA/SIL).<br><br> • Promoting the HSE culture in all behaviours and activities.<br><br> • Manage the efficient use of third party specialists where required.<br><br> • Supporting operational risk assessments.<br><br> • Support HSE bridging interfaces with external contracting organisations.<br><br> • Support emergency response plans and processes.<br><br> • Monitor implementation and effectiveness of HSE objectives and plans.<br><br> • Promote a risk-based approach to HSE management.<br><br> • Promote Safety and Environmental Golden Rules and monitor compliance.<br><br> • Contribute to the achievement of all relevant HSE MBOs.<br><br> • Lead initiatives to promote both management commitment and employee involvement in HSE activities.<br><br> • Analyse and report HSE performance data, and identify improvements.<br><br> • Close out actions and deliver against deadlines in a timely manner.<br><br> • Network with peers to utilize best practices and lessons learned.<br><br> • Fully comply with Code of Ethics and Law 231 principles.<br><br> <br><br> Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:<br><br> <br><br> • Suitable NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent qualification.<br><br> • Relevant HSE management system auditor qualification.<br><br> • BOSIET/FOET/other mandatory/regulatory qualification required for offshore working.<br><br> <br><br> <br><br> Required Competencies:<br><br> <br><br> • Relevant oil and gas industry HSE experience.<br><br> • Excellent working knowledge of legal oil and gas HSE requirements.<br><br> • Good working knowledge of UK oil and gas decommissioning compliance requirements.<br><br> • Knowledge of UK HSE compliance and permitting processes and relevant documentation.<br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
