PenFed is hiring a Military Recruiter at our Tysons, Virginia location. This position is primarily responsible for military candidate pipeline development, sourcing, and recruitment along with bolstering the PenFed employment brand within the military community. This role will assist recruiters and hiring managers, across all the lines of business, fill our job openings with members from the military (transitioning service-members, veterans, military spouses, wounded warriors, caretakers, survivors, and family-members) and college (military students) communities. This person will also play an integral role with the execution of our military fellowship hiring program. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about military community recruiting with strong interpersonal, organizational, and interviewing skills. Recruit for high quality military talent for open positions including sourcing, conducting outreach campaigns, phone screening, and conducting interviews. Lead the recruitment process for military hires in addition to assisting campus recruiting efforts with the recruitment of student veterans. Coordinate PenFed’s military fellowship program, partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to hire as many qualified fellows as possible in each cohort. Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and recruiting practices consistent with PenFed’s recruiting brand to meet business objectives. Act as a military recruiting SME and a dedicated resource for recruiters, managers, and senior level leaders. Serve as the liaison between candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and human resources team members. Communicate with the recruiting team, participate in recruiting best practices and provide accurate and thorough documentation on candidates in the applicant tracking system (iCIMS). Collaborate with management to anticipate the hiring needs of the various departments to ensure an adequate pipeline of military talent is developed for current and future open positions. Prepare and share job postings and other employment material through military employment channels in accordance with the organization’s recruitment and branding standards. Coordinate with our employment branding, talent acquisition, digital media, marketing, and communication teams to advertise and socialize our career opportunities through a variety of internal and external communication channels targeting the military community. Assist with the development of relationships with campus (veteran students’ organizations), military installations, and military employment partners. Monitor and report on military recruitment results and achieve goals and metrics. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s Degree is required. A degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field is preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of recruiting/sourcing experience is required. Military Community recruiting experience is preferred. Experience with building and maintaining candidate pipelines for both short- and long-term hiring needs. Experience sourcing and qualifying candidates. Experience with an Applicant Tracking System or CRM (Candidate or Customer Relationship Manager) is required. iCIMS experience is a plus. Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written. The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking to large groups of people and be confident in their presentation skills. Proficient in MS Office - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The ideal candidate for this role is a Military Spouse or Veteran with a Business or HR related degree and one plus (1+) years of recruiting/sourcing experience within military and college communities. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. * Travel Ability to travel to various worksites from 10-20% of the time.
