39;ll provide support to our clients by targeting their areas of concern and developing strategies so that they can always be confident in their exposure to risk. </p><p></p><p>The Financial Crime team sits in the wider Forensic Services capability within PwC and brings together a mix set of capabilities to help clients prevent, respond to and remediate a wide range of Financial Crime threats, risks and complex issues.</p><p></p><p>We are currently looking for an experienced manager with expertise in market abuse surveillance and surveillance. Specifically we are seeking an individual with hands on experience managing market abuse surveillance operational procedures including the process of managing and closing out populations of alerts from either ecommunications or trade surveillance platforms., The individual will also have significant technical knowledge of one or more wholesale banking asset classes. We have ambitious plans and are looking for individuals who can develop and build our project management and operational capability to deliver surveillance projects for a wide range of clients.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p></p><p>In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to work on a range of client engagement with UK and multinational financial services clients. We support our clients with a range of services:</p><ul><li><p>Vendor evaluations and support for surveillance strategic roadmaps</p></li><li><p>Market abuse surveillance implementation and calibration (e.g. detection scenarios, instance identification, parameter setting and tuning)</p></li><li><p>Data driven surveillance effectiveness review and optimisation</p></li><li><p>Reviewing end-to-end data and process flow supporting surveillance implementations</p></li><li><p>Assistance in responding to regulatory enquiries</p></li></ul><p></p><p>The role responsibilities will include the following:</p><ul><li><p>Supporting senior team members in scoping, managing and delivering complex risk assessment and data driven surveillance engagements</p></li><li><p>Providing day-to-day support for deployment of augmented market abuse surveillance operating models</p></li><li><p>Actively contributing on client-facing project work, being self-starting and motivated to produce the required high standard of deliverables</p></li><li><p>Providing and applying industry knowledge of the practical needs of market abuse surveillance teams, including the development of policies and targeted procedures for alert disposition</p></li><li><p>Supporting senior team members in developing market abuse  propositions and delivery methodologies that will add value to our clients</p></li><li><p>Development of risk methodology and practical experience of executing risk assessments Building and maintaining relationships both internally within the PwC network and externally with clients</p></li><li><p>Supporting sales through work on bids, proposal responses and developing opportunities</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Essential skills and experience</b></p><p></p><p>In order to be successful you will need to show ability in most of the following areas:</p><ul><li><p>Understanding of how financial institutions approach risk</p></li><li><p>Experience with market abuse surveillance</p></li><li><p>Understanding of different types of market abuse risk</p></li><li><p>Demonstrable experience with regulator/industry relationships</p></li><li><p>Experience of providing MI and summarising data for senior stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Display a keen interest in technology across the financial crime space</p></li><li><p>Demonstrable technical knowledge of specific wholesale banking products and asset classes</p></li><li><p>Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to clients and non-technical audiences</p></li></ul><p></p><p>You will also need to have:</p><ul><li><p>Track record of managing project delivery, completing tasks in a time-sensitive environment to a high standard, and supporting senior team members, including ability to meet deadlines, overcome challenges, manage stakeholder expectations and produce deliverables in complex environments</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities</p></li><li><p>Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills</p></li><li><p>Excellent presentation and report writing skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to develop new ideas into structured, deliverable proposals and projects</p></li><li><p>Ability to identify and address client needs, develop and maintain meaningful client relationships</p></li><li><p>Bachelor’s degree or above</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Desirable Skills:</p><ul><li><p>Previous experience in Market Abuse functions at Tier 1 investment bank(s)</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of the Market Abuse regulatory environment</p></li><li><p>Experience of risk management tasks and approaches</p></li><li><p>Report writing and stakeholder management experience</p></li><li><p>Experience of project management processes</p></li></ul><p>You’ll be joining a team which welcomes your outlook and knowledge, whilst providing you the opportunity to develop your skill set further within one of the world’s leading professional organisations. </p><p></p><p>With an increasingly agile workforce, we&
