<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Construction & Remediation group is hiring a<b> Quality Inspector </b>for a large project in Eastern Ontario<b>.</b> <br><br> <b> Key Responsibilities: </b><br><ul><li> Ensures the quality management system (QMS) is applied in the field as part of quality control processes </li><li> Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations </li><li> Performs regular oversight over sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to the project quality requirements </li><li> Performs visual inspections for civil, structural, mechanical, incoming materials for meeting quality requirements </li><li> Understands, applies, and ensures compliance with technical specifications and drawings requirements </li><li> Conducts tests on soil using the nuclear gauge, and performs concrete testing as per ASTMs </li><li> Responsible for ensuring effective closure of field findings and project related issues as part of the continual improvement QMS support </li><li> Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and logs </li><li> Provides support with maintaining Equipment Lists, Inspection and Test Plans up to date </li><li> Ensures the quality control documentation is compiled, reviewed, approved for use, and completed </li><li> Documents, and reports on quality issues </li><li> Quality interface/liaison with owner, owner's representatives, and 3 rd party construction quality assurance agents </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> 5+ years in Quality Inspection within a construction or nuclear environment </li><li> Ability to read and understand drawings </li><li> Working knoweldge of quality standards (N299.2, ISO 9001) </li><li> Strong Microsoft Applications experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint </li><li> Strong communication and writing skills </li><li> Strong eye for details, reliable and commit </li><li> Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
