Janssen is looking for a motivated individual to join our EMEA regulatory policy team and be part of a broader group focused on global regulatory policymaking. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Regulatory Policy professional to develop and drive the Janssen policy agenda both regionally and globally. The EMEA Regulatory Policy Lead will identify regulatory and legislative trends/issues that have the potential to impact the development and registration of Janssen’s pharmaceutical products and provide strategic input aimed at influencing the future healthcare environment by creating advocacy plans, stakeholder (internal/external) engagement and driving toward change reflected in regulation/position statements. The EMEA Regulatory Policy Lead will partner with subject matter experts and groups to define strategies and engage in direct regulatory advocacy and influencing activities relating to regulatory healthcare policies and forthcoming innovative regulatory science such as digital and data science. This position will include global and regional leadership responsibilities. The candidate will be actively engaged in Trade Association initiatives, Health Authority and industry engagement meetings and consultations, and public-private initiatives. Qualifications What you need to succeed A degree in science, pharmacy, medicine, or law is preferred. A minimum of 10 years in regulatory affairs gained within health authority, industry, professional organisation, or trade associations and experience in managing regulatory policy activities is required. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of the European markets and established relationships/networks amongst EMEA regulators and other key associations and organizations. Demonstrate the ability to drive, challenge and improve the regulatory environment and a successful track record demonstrating an ability to analyse new regulations or policies and assess the impact on the pharmaceutical business or development programs. Track record of success working in a collaborative, matrixed environment. Ability to work across different businesses and cultures on a worldwide basis. Ability to make complex decisions that resolve regulatory or business issues and demonstrate an acute understanding of the impact of decisions taken. Exercise excellent judgment in assessing priorities and initiating projects, both with and without direction. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are required with excellence in English.
