<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>A Wood requer os servicos de um Inspetor de Quantidade de Construcao para um contrato de 18-24 horas em Vilanculos, Provincia de Inhambane, Mocambique. <br><br>Job Objective:<br><ul><li> Carry out all Home Office and Field Quantity Surveying requirements as delegated for the project and construction contracts to which he/she is appointed in accordance with applicable company and project requirements, systems, procedures, budgets, and schedules. </li><li> Preparation and control of bill of quantities documents form tender to close out. </li><li> Actively promote effective communication and relations with all other interfacing departments, the Client, disciplines, and contractors in carrying out the assigned duties. Assist Engineering to prepare, review, approve and distribute bill of quantities (BOQ) for measured work including Method of Measurement, preambles, estimation of provisional quantities. </li></ul><br> Key Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Receive, review and issue to contractors AFC measurements. </li><li> Actively engage Contractors QS in the review and agreement of AFC measurements, and BOQ. </li><li> Where necessary agree field run measures with the contractors Quantity Surveyor by field survey and update BOQ for agreement. </li><li> Where necessary prepare estimate BOQ from drawing's for additional work. </li><li> Verify Contractor's monthly valuation submissions on measured works. </li><li> Prepare/approve and issue payment certificates. </li><li> Assist the Contracts Engineer in the evaluation of contractor's claims. </li><li> Assist in the preparation and review of final accounts. </li><li> Extracting quantities from AFC (Approved for Construction Drawings) to update the BOQ </li><li> Carry out all post-contract measurements, valuations, and settlement of the final measured works account, including the approved for construction measurements and bills of quantities (BOQ). </li><li> Attend weekly site progress meetings with contractors </li><li> Assess and carry out progressive measures on Contractors monthly progressive claims. </li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Qualifications: </b><br><ul><li> Diploma </li></ul><br><b> Desirable </b><br><ul><li> Degree level preferred </li></ul><br><b> Knowledge, skills and experience: </b><br><ul><li> 3/5 years pre-award and Contract Tender experience </li><li> Draft and compilation of Bill of quantities </li></ul><br><b> Desirable </b><br><ul><li> Mechanical and Piping, Multi Disciplines preference </li></ul><br><b> Personal attributes: </b><br><ul><li> Excellent organisational skills </li><li> Excellent communication skills </li></ul><br><br><b>APPLICATIONS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IN ENGLISH</b> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
