Summary Ajanta Consulting, LLC Wright-Patterson AFB THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD The Statistical and Industrial Organizational Psychology Research support professional will provide scientific research design, professional update of the scientific literature, database management, data collection and statistical analysis, discussion of the results, and composition of research technical reports and presentation generation. Responsibilities Be responsible for overall statistical analysis of study data in consultation with USAFSAM/FESP professional staff, AF leadership organizations who respond to survey, as well as other contractor research team members. Design an annual strategic plan, in consultation with USAFSAM/FES Branch staff. Plans shall address research objectives outlined by the principal investigator, in coordination with the Project Manager, regarding administration, retrieval, and analyses of the study data via web-based program. Coordinate with USAFSAM/FESP Branch and 711 HPW staff to complete required research paperwork with the appropriate IRB, in consultation with input of the principal investigator. Provide line leadership a relevant scientific literature review and data analyses, as well as participate in related discussions with USAFSAM/FESP staff. Build a database suitable for analyses of predictor (e.g., pre and post accession psychological testing), as well as criterion and various outcome measures (training and operational performance). Confer with and advise USAFSAM/FESP professional staff, regarding optimal statistical approach to analysis of relationship between predictor variables and outcome measures. Perform statistical analyses of study data using descriptive and inferential statistical procedures. Perform prediction, discriminant analyses, and regression analyses of collected data to identify critical selection methodologies (cut offs, multiple cut-offs, and profile method) that will identify Airmen at high risk of stress and operational performance problems, or medical difficulties. Minimize any threats to the validity of the database, as well as maintain the data in a secure fashion consistent with IRB protocol and safeguards. Maintain confidentiality of screening data, contents of technical reports, and presentation of data deemed sensitive and not releasable to the general public. Complete the appropriate IRB paperwork and training requirements for conducting research. Confer with, as appropriate, AETC, Air Force Personnel Center, Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), and Air Combat Command (ACC) personnel, to ensure optimal data collection strategies, storage, and maintenance of screening data and measures are utilized and maintained. Establish a normative baseline screening data process for specific installations and units, as needed, to support medical and line leadership customer requests. Prepare reports of scientific/statistical results in support of scientific literature publication, in coordination with USAFSAM/FESP and 711 HPW staff. The number of professional presentations, reports, and papers shall be verified based upon the relevance of research findings, as they become available. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Have a minimum of a Doctoral Degree specializing in Research Psychology, specifically in fields of Industrial Organizational, Applied Social or Clinical psychology. Completed coursework training (or equivalency) in behavioral science research. Various aspects of research experience shall include study design, technical report writing, presentations, and coordination with IRB. At least 4 years of experience with designing USAF professional presentations regarding statistical results, as well as presenting results at peer reviewed national forums (i.e., Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology, American Psychological Association, Aerospace Medicine Association) and to AF (SES/General officer) leadership. At least 4 years of experience engaged in behavioral science research with USAF officer and/or enlisted airmen. 3 years of experience conducting psychological health screening research of USAF airmen, to include RPA, Cyber Warfare, and DCGS Intelligence operators and other airmen operating in high risk, high demand career fields and/or who must meet aeromedical psychiatric standards. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Be responsible for overall statistical analysis of study data in consultation with USAFSAM/FESP professional staff, AF leadership organizations who respond to survey, as well as other contractor research team members. Experience as an author of publications in peer reviewed journals, as well as official USAF technical reports in behavioral science with regards to occupational psychological health stress data collected from aviation and/or remote warfare career fields. Thoroughly familiar with USAF culture and organizational structure. Experience developing and administering comprehensive, validated psychological health assessments, and testing via mobile and web-based capabilities to airmen in operational communities. Maintain communications with project personnel that facilitate teamwork; adhere to strict confidentiality and classification requirements in all forms of communication If there is an unexpected interruption in research capabilities and/or reduction in workload, the contractor employee shall support research endeavors in support of additional USAFSAM/FESP related investigations, as required and as qualifications permit. Expect to travel, as needed, to provide professional support, customer consultations, and research presentations at line leadership meetings and professional conferences.
