EOI - Lead Survey Specialist

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood is currently recruiting for<b> Lead Survey Specialist </b>position to be worked on our offshore/subsea project for 6 months contract.<br />
<br />
This role will be reporting to Survey Lead / Engineering Manager<br />
<br />
Objective:</p>

<ul>
<li>To provide effective onshore, nearshore and offshore geophysical and hydrographic survey support to projects as required;</li>
<li>To represent the client&
39;s best interests;</li>
</ul>

Accountabilities:</p>

<ul>
<li>Comply with company safety rules and training, conduct operations safely and report any unsafe condition or practices immediately to his/her supervisor;</li>
<li>Represent the client&
39;s interests by ensuring survey contractors deliver survey data that is fit for purpose;</li>
<li>Development of Scopes of work, technical specifications and pricing form preparation;</li>
<li>Technical and commercial tender evaluation;</li>
<li>Offshore QC / supervision and management of survey contractors;</li>
<li>Review of survey contractor reports and data;</li>
<li>Geospatial data management and use;</li>
</ul>

<b>Skills / Qualifications </b><br />
<br />
Person Specification:</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<ul>
<li>Surveying, Geomatics or Hydrography degree;</li>
<li>Must have significant offshore / subsea survey experience as Party Chief / Reporting Manager;</li>
<li>Must have previous experience as a Project Surveyor;</li>
<li>Knowledge of installation, configuration and operation of contemporary survey-related hardware and software;</li>
<li>Full understanding of calibration requirements and procedures for survey systems and sensors;</li>
<li>Experience of spatial data manipulation and management;</li>
<li>Working knowledge of geodesy and geotechnical sampling;</li>
<li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and geospatial data manipulation software including Blue Marble Geographic Calculator, ESRI ArcGIS and Autodesk AutoCAD;</li>
<li>Must have good knowledge of IT systems ;</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Oil &amp; Gas and Renewable industries technical specifications and standards;</li>
</ul>
