The successful candidate will be responsible for counseling the business and providing practical legal advice, defining legal strategies in contract negotiations as well as partnering with the business to identify and assess legal risks. Additionally, the Legal Counsel will give advice on Company policies and procedures and will collaborate with business leaders and support functions advising on legal risks, business strategies and other issues related to the Company's businesses. <br><br>Duties will include: <br><ul><li> Review and approve business transactions and agreements. </li><li> Providing legal recommendations and advice that is comprehensive to all standard oil and gas industry practices, to propose practical solutions to issues presented when possible and manage all legal and commercial liabilities in such contracts. </li><li> Prepare executive summaries of contracts and upload into Salesforce. </li><li> Develop and update contract templates as needed. </li><li> Assist the commercial organization and Contracts Legal Manager in structuring contracts and activities in compliance with applicable law. </li><li> Draft Periodical Reports for Contracts Legal Manager </li><li> Maintain Corporate information. </li><li> Manage inputs into Salesforce and Legal Tracker </li><li> Under Contracts Legal Manager's supervision, Legal Counsel must elaborate Legal Risk Assessments Memo and coordinate internal approval requirements. </li><li> Support Contracts Legal Manager with any claim that arises during the performance of work with the Company's client's or vendors. </li><li> Manage and review real estate matters, contract review and negotiations. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Experience & Education </b><br><br>REQUIRED <br><ul><li> Law Degree </li><li> Minimum Experience: 2 - 6 years of experience in general legal area in corporate or law firm environments. </li><li> Minimum Applied Experience: Prefer at least 2 years in the oil / energy sector, contract management and/or oilfield service contract negotiations and review. </li></ul><br> PREFERRED <br><ul><li> Management and review of software agreements, Master's Degree or Specialization on areas related to corporate law, commercial law, and/or International Commercial Law. </li></ul><br><b> Knowledge, Skills & Abilities </b><br><br>REQUIRED <br><ul><li> Lawyer with legal experience in corporate and commercial matters </li><li> Microsoft Office </li><li> Proficiency in company legal policies and procedures </li><li> Proficiency in legal and compliance company policies </li></ul><br> PREFERRED <br><ul><li> Legal Tracker Software </li><li> Salesforce Software </li><li> Intermediate Tax legislation </li></ul>
