Financial Accountant

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for our office based in Waterfall City. <br><br>Job Objective: <br><ul><li> Ensure the smooth running of all day to day activities in the accounts department. </li><li> Bring matters of concern to the attention of the Manager Finance as necessary. </li><li> Approve accounts payable, ledger reconciliations and monthly reports in accordance with procedure. </li><li> All taxation matters. </li><li> All branch office affairs. </li><li> Management of all intercompany accounts. </li><li> Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns. </li><li> Preparation or review, as appropriate, of corporate statutory returns, SARB reporting or other reporting required to comply with legislation. </li><li> Produce accurate monthly management accounts for sign-off by the Manager Finance. </li><li> Assist direct reports as and when necessary, obtaining professional advice where appropriate. </li></ul><br> Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: <br><ul><li>Process monthly journals for all entities in financial system</li><li>Assit with all transactions in Mozambique and capturing of transactions</li><li>GL Reconciliations<ul><li>Balance sheet account reconciliations</li><li>P&L Account reconciliations</li><li>Interco Balance reconciliation</li></ul></li><li>Month end reports update (overheads and mapping corrections)<ul><li>Update GL recons - ensure TB's are correct for export</li><li>Export JDE TB's to HFM</li><li>Complete & load Hyperion input packs & ensure no validation errors</li><li>Month end report file for approval (print all GL recons & reports sign, get signed and file)</li><li>Ensure Interco balance with WSA agrees</li><li>Balance sheet accounts reconciliation - Update GL recons</li><li>Tax calculation prepare (VAT, PAYE, INCOME TAX & PROVISIONAL TAX)</li></ul></li><li>Income tax prepare for auditors review</li><li>Provisional tax prepare and submit</li><li>Final annual CIT tax calculation based on signed AFS for review by EY</li><li>Assist Internal Audits</li><li>Assistance with BBBEE - supply information on request</li><li>Assist External Audit (annual)</li><li>Assist in preparing of Annual Financial Statements</li><li>SARB (annual report)</li><li>STATSSA (quarterly & annual reports)</li><li>Assist withVAT Audits when applicable</li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b>Quailificatons</b><br><ul><li>Bcom Degree</li><li>Complete articles</li></ul><br><b>Experience</b><br><ul><li>Speak and understand Portuguese would be advantage</li><li>JDE experience</li><li>Oracle, HFM and Smartview experience</li><li>IFRS Knowlegde</li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
