Senior Quantity Surveyor

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Experienced senior quantity surveyor to develop the priced Bill of Quantities (BoQ) model<b> for a period of 6 months</b> in support of a strategic ADNOC Group project initiative to build multiple Wellhead Towers (WHTs) based upon a standard (base case) design with modelling options to account for BoQ changes to accommodate variances in water depth and soil conditions, together with potentially different requirements of the WHTs (Load / weight / type) <br><br>The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be required to evaluate the accuracy of the tendered priced BoQs and their adequacy to accommodate potential changes in the base design and to inform the clarification process with bidders. <br><br>The Senior Quantity Surveyor will use QUESTOR software tool to develop the BoQ / cost model, for which training will be provided. <br><br>Duties and responsibilities <br><ul><li> Required proficiency in advanced software estimating tools </li><li> price / forecast the cost of the materials required for change in as-tendered base design to final design per specific site requirements </li><li> prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation </li><li> track changes to the design and / or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly </li><li> Support the evaluation of services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project </li><li> measure and value the work to be done at fabrication site </li><li> liaise client stakeholders and other construction professionals, such as engineering managers, project managers and engineers </li><li> Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders </li><li> Traveling from the office to various sites as may be required </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Qualification and experience required <br><br><ul><li> Bachelor in Quantity Surveying, commercial management or construction </li><li> Chartered status from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Preferable) </li><li> Minimum 10 years experience in offshore construction and fabrication </li></ul><br><br>Key Skills required <br><br><ul><li> Numeracy </li><li> A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software </li><li> Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills </li><li> The ability to work in a team </li><li> The ability to negotiate </li><li> Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
