We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries. <br><br><b> Position Summary </b><br><br>Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions. <br><br> <b>Work Location and Travel</b><ul> <li> Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required. </li> <li> Ability to travel internationally up to 10%. </li> </ul><br><b> Duties & Responsibilities </b><br><br>ESSENTIAL<ul> <li> Ability to lead investigations for industrial incidents, injuries, and/or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventative measures. </li> <li> Develop effective corrective action plans in conjunction with operational groups as a result of incident investigations, internal audits, client audits, and identified gaps from BBS programs. </li> <li> Participate and mentor/coach operational personnel on the inspection and auditing of facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation and management system compliance. </li> <li> Promote continual improvement and standardization of existing HSE programs by maintaining and applying knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes. Serve as the SME to operational groups. </li> <li> Ability to develop and/or maintain a robust contractor management program while working closely with other support groups including Facilities and Supply Chain. </li> <li> Provide HSE expertise and support to operational groups by participating in client meetings, Haz IDs, developing HSE Project Plans, bridging documents, and joint incident investigations. </li> <li> Coach and mentor the HSE LMT to help drive continual improvement and build a robust HSE culture within the organization. </li> <li> Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to the companies leading and lagging indicators. </li> <li> Work with the Training department by conducting and/or coordinating employee HSE training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, environmental programs, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment. </li> <li> Actively participate in and/or have the ability to lead HSE work groups, OII facility internal HSE audits (US and International), special projects within the company, and industry association meetings and committees as needed. </li> <li> Coach and mentor HSE Interns and Advisors as required. </li> <li> Other duties as directed by Supervisor. </li> </ul><br><b>Supervisory Responsibilities</b><ul> <li> This position has no supervisory responsibilities . </li> </ul><br><b> Qualifications </b><br><br>REQUIRED<ul> <li> Associate degree in Safety Technology, Occupational Health, and Safety, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li> <li> Minimum 7 years of safety experience. </li> <li> Minimum 5 years of experience with HSE software programs (such as Brady LOTO, Intelex (incident/observation data), SharePoint). </li> <li> Minimum 3 years of offshore HSE experience or experience working with offshore client and regulatory requirements. </li> </ul><br>DESIRED<ul> <li> Professional certifications (ASP, CSP, SMS, COSHO, OHST, CIH) </li> <li> Bilingual in English and Spanish </li> </ul><br><b> Additional Information </b><br><br><b>The position will be Hybrid - Remote work until our return to the office post-pandemic.
