QUALITY ENGINEER

The Quality Engineer for plant functions is responsible for day-to-day quality assurance activities of maintaining the Facility Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and certification to applicable industry standards as well as providing support to Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, HR, and Planning related to quality assurance functions. <br><br><b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b><ul><li>Develop and maintain a working knowledge of API Q1 and ISO 9001 and other applicable industry standards </li><li>Supports external audits and participates in internal audits in a Lead Auditor capacity </li><li>Maintains a system for controlling facility procedures, work instructions, and forms that support the facility QMS; including the creation of new QMS supporting documents. </li><li>Assists in compiling information for key quality metrics and management reviews. </li><li>Runs monthly plant metric reports and performs analysis based on metrics for each area.</li><li>Write routine reports and correspondence associated with quality assurance functions. </li><li>Generates and issues CPARs for NCR trends, audit findings, vendor quality/performance, customer complaints, etc. and performs investigation / follow-up activities to ensure effective closure. </li><li>Develops KPIs and performs trend analysis to aid in the development of processes and procedures that focus on quality improvement. </li><li>Communicate to others specification requirements, quality control system requirements and knowledge of manufacturing / fabrication techniques and processes. </li><li>Provide daily technical support to the organization through the disposition of Quality NCRs and solving shop floor problems with the primary focus on identification of root causes and correcting the process. </li><li>Facilitate cross-functional failure mode root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions. </li><li>Effectively interface with multiple internal and external functions that fall under the governance of the QMS, as well as understand the interfaces of the other functions within the order/product realization process. </li><li>Devises sampling procedures, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. </li><li>Liaise directly with external parties (i.e. Customers and certifying bodies) for Audit finding results and other Quality issues that arise. </li><li>Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluations through the creation of facility procedures and work level instructions. </li><li>Perform all tasks in the safest manner possible to ensure that there is no damage to the equipment or personnel </li><li>Follow all HSE and Quality processes </li><li>Performs other related duties as required and assigned. </li></ul><br><br><b>Minimum Job Qualifications</b><br> <ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology or equivalent experience necessary to adequately fulfill the requirements of the position. </li><li>2-6+ years of relevant experience working in a related position in the oil and gas industry or manufacturing environment </li><li>Familiarity with construction materials and methods for the fabrication of structural steel and pressure containing equipment </li><li>Experience in special processes related to manufacturing (Welding, NDE, Heat Treatment, &amp; Coating) </li><li>Experience in Metrology/Calibration and the use of measurement tools. </li><li>Experience with MRP systems </li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office Applications </li><li>Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship</li></ul>
