Project Accountant

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Accountant with experience in the oil and gas industry. <br><br>The Project Accountant will be responsible for all accounting and invoicing for our largest contracts in Eastern Canada. This role will ensure all invoicing is completed in accordance with contractual terms and conditions, monitor expenditures against budgets and support project teams with financial analysis. The Project Accountant will complete all month end duties pertaining to specific projects and work with our clients to ensure timely receipt of payments. You will be a valued member supporting both the project and finance teams. <br><br>Key Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Generate and review client invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms </li><li> Utilize client invoicing portals for invoice submission and follow up on errors or rejects </li><li> Work closely with project teams to ensure sufficient funding for invoicing </li><li> Generate revenue weekly and review accuracy and completeness of revenue recognition on projects </li><li> Reconcile and analyze projects and related information </li><li> Monitor accounts receivable and work in progress </li><li> Complete month end journal entries as required </li><li> Communicate with client to respond to queries and follow up </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>Candidates for the Project Accountant should have an undergraduate degree or diploma in Business / Commerce from a recognized post-secondary institution.
