<b>Primary Purpose of Job</b><br />
The Petroleum Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for delivering and supporting lifecycle information management of geological, geophysical, petrophysical, petroleum engineering, and reservoir engineering physical and digital data for upstream disciplines in SD &amp; E Departments. The position will coordinate with Lead Petroleum Data Analyst on all technical data management activities including workflows, validation, and QC of incoming data for SD &amp; E Corporate, Master and Project databases of geoscience and petroleum engineering data. Coordinate the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the SD &amp; E upstream data management system for physical and digital data assets.<br />

<b>Education</b><br />
B.Sc. in Information Management or Computer science or Geoscience<br />
<br />
<b>Experience &amp; Skills</b><br />
&bull; Multidiscipline experience (petroleum engineering, geoscience, GIS, computer science) across disciplines. &bull; Broad knowledge of subsurface data types (e.g. logs, well testing, coring, down-hole sampling) and surface data acquisition (e.g. surface production metering, sampling). &bull; Good knowledge of data management and related software and databases for geoscience and petroleum engineering (e.g. Petrel, eSearch, ProSource, OpenWorks, Studio, UNIX). &bull; Broad knowledge of geoscience and petroleum engineering data handling (loading, manipulation, editing, access, integration, federation and architecture). &bull; Some knowledge of the interpretation/analysis environment of the geoscientists and petroleum engineers. &bull; Good knowledge of database management systems and petroleum industry data modelling concepts &amp; script writing. &bull; Good client and vendor relationship management skills. &bull; Excellent supervision, team building and procedure skills. &bull; Good communication, presentation and motivation skills. &bull; 10+ years&
39; experience in the petroleum industry with 5+ years&
39; experience in the handling geoscience and petroleum engineering data.<br />
